I have never heard the window and mirror analogy. I love it and it so true. I have worked for both and hope that I am a mirror leader. Embracing our humanity and seeing it in all others is the key to peace.
The window and the mirror is my own imagery for the more formal (and confusing) phrase: locus of control. Yes, being a mirror person is key to peace. The problem is, we're born window people, pointing fingers and accusing others, and become mirror people by making hard choices that cut against the grain of our own nature and prevailing culture.
Looking forward to reading your book Bill. You have always had a unique ability to tell stories that connect to quality leadership.
